Mesh Breast Lift in San Diego

If you’re considering a surgical breast lift, also known as mastopexy surgery, one way to determine if you’re a good candidate is to put a pencil under the crease of your breast. If the pencil can stay there without you holding it in place, you may be a suitable candidate for a breast lift.  In addition, anatomically the nipples should fall in alignment about halfway from the shoulder to the elbow. If the nipples are lower than this, they are said to be ptotic or droopy.

Breast lift surgery reshapes and raises sagging breasts. The surgery can also be utilized as a way to reduce the size of the areolae. Women usually get this procedure on an outpatient basis, meaning they are free to go home after the surgery rather than staying at a hotel overnight. Typically, the procedure takes about three hours to complete and is done under general anesthesia.

Changes Plastic Surgery also offers a new lifting technique known as the surgical mesh internal bra. During this, a synthetic mesh is placed to offer temporary support. As scar tissue forms around the mesh, it further strengthens the region. The mesh dissolves, leaving the strong and supportive scar tissue, which forms the internal bra inside the skin envelope.
